BRISTOL, In. – NASCAR is back in action at the Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday, and you can watch the action on St. Louis 11.
Friday night marks the regular season finale of the Xfinity Series in the Food City 300, where one of racing’s biggest stars is set to return to the driver’s seat.
There will be a field full of talented drivers at the bullring, including Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is preparing to get behind the wheel.
The Hall of Famer is one of just three drivers in the Xfinity lineup that has earned a sword in the last Great Coliseum. Earnhardt previously had a memorable weekend sweep in Bristol back in 2004.
Last fall, Earnhardt jumped in his No. 88 Hellmann’s Chevy and put on a show for the fans when he led for 47 laps and was in the hunt before a vehicle fire ended his night early.
Fellow Xfinity series driver Sheldon Creed understands their race isn’t the weekend’s main event but feels there are plenty of reasons for fans to pay attention to the race.
“Xfinity, is as they say, a place where names are made. It’s the second highest level of NASCAR,” Creed says. “A lot of us kids, a lot of regulars that have been there for a long time with a lot of experience and so great racing. It’s a great car. And yeah, there’s the battles and personalities you see every week are a reason to tune in
You can catch it for the first time on St. Louis 11 with the NASCAR Countdown Pre-Race show beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern and 6 p.m. Central time.
