JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Social Services is moving to a new service that makes it easier to apply for benefits.
The service allows Missourians with non-traditional income, like working for Uber or babysitting, to apply for SNAP or Medicaid without having to physically submit paperwork of their bank accounts.
The department says it’s seen a large increase in non-traditional work since the pandemic, causing lots of paperwork from regular paystubs to tax forms.
