ST. LOUIS – After another round of severe weather came through the area on Easter Sunday, the National Weather Service St. Louis Office released information from their storm damage surveys on Monday.
According to the NWS, there were seven tornadoes between mid-Missouri and southern Illinois throughout Sunday afternoon and evening.

In total this year, Missouri has seen 59 tornadoes and Illinois has seen 58 tornadoes—that is 41 more than the traditional average. Within those totals, 14 of those in Missouri and nine in Illinois were rated an EF2 or higher.
Throughout the country, there have been 525 tornadoes so far this year, and Missouri and Illinois makes up for 74 of those.
