ST. LOUIS – One person is dead after a crash Monday afternoon in St. Louis.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the intersection traveling eastbound on Interstate 64 at McKnight Road around 1:10 p.m.
The driver struck the island, the right curb, and traveled off the roadway. The car also hit a fence and tree, then proceeded to go airborne, hitting a retention wall.
The driver, 34-year-old Tonya Kittle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other drivers were involved in the accident.
