CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – A driver fatally struck a pedestrian who was trying to cross Interstate 64 in Chesterfield overnight, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
MSHP has identified Michael Hamm, 46, as the victim. Next of kin have been notified.
The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of I-64 near Boone’s Crossing.
A crash report from MSHP states that Hamm was crossing I-64 when a driver in a 2007 Ford 500 struck him. The report states that Hamm failed to yield to the driver.
MSHP Troop C, which covers much of the St. Louis region, is investigating the crash.
