ILLINOIS – Some spots in the Metro East were hit hard as tornado-warned storms rolled through the St. Louis region on Thursday afternoon.
FOX 2 has learned of various damages in Madison County, Illinois after Thursday’s storms, which brought weather threats like high winds, hail, and lightning to the region.
SkyFOX, powered by Bommarito Automotive Group, flew over several damaged structures, venues and homes Friday morning.
The WWT Raceway in Madison, Illinois, suffered some damage, specifically in the form of bleachers being snapped out of place and flipped onto a drag strip.
Not too far away, SkyFOX spotted damages in Prairietown, Illinois, and along Illinois Highway 159. Storms apparently ripped off the roofs of barns and damaged farming structures in both areas.
Additionally, SkyFOX flew over various damages at Brookdale Farms in Eureka, Missouri.
FOX 2 has learned that Thursday storms did produce some confirmed tornadoes in Illinois, but is working to gather more information about the twisters.
