ST. LOUIS – A pizza delivery driver was carjacked at gunpoint Friday evening in north St. Louis, police say. Five teens were accused of the carjacking, and at least one has been arrested.

The victim, a 36-year-old man, told St. Louis police that he had just finished a delivery when five armed teenagers approached him and stole his vehicle.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of Long Street in St. Louis’ Carr Square neighborhood.

According to a St. Louis police crime summary report, the victim was walking back to his vehicle when a white Hyundai Elantra with five suspects, all believed to be teenagers, pulled up next to him in the parking lot.

The teens reportedly got out of the Elantra and held the victim at gunpoint, then fled from the scene in both the victim’s vehicle and the Elantra.

Police later found the Elantra in the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue and took a 15-year-old boy into custody. The victim’s vehicle has not been recovered as of Saturday morning. Police say the victim was not physically hurt while he was carjacked.
