ST. LOUIS – Authorities are on the scene after reports of an officer-involved shooting in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting took place Friday morning on the 5100 block of Wells Avenue in north St. Louis’ Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood. Just hours before this incident, another shooting took place shortly before 4:20 a.m. Friday morning on the same block of Wells Avenue.
The suspect in the shooting possibly barricaded himself inside a home, according to SLMPD. SWAT is responding to the scene.
