GRAY SUMMIT, Mo. — Purina Farms announced on Thursday that its visitor center, which features an outdoor arena, will be closed for the 2025 season due to damage left behind by the March 14 tornado.

According to Purina Farms, while the storm did not cause harm to any employees or animals, the EF-2 tornado did leave behind significant damage to its visitor center facility, education barn, pet adoption center, and Incredible Dog Arena.

The visitor center received the brunt of the damage, causing its closure for the remainder of the 2025 season. The event center, which hosts dog shows and other events, did not experience major damage and will continue to host events as scheduled, Purina Farms said.

“We are reviewing plans for the future of the impacted area,” a Purina Farms spokesperson said. “In the meantime, Purina Farms plans to bring its signature visitor experiences to the community so families and fellow animal lovers can continue to make new memories with us.”
