ST. LOUIS — We’ve had some rain overnight. A few showers will continue through the morning hours. Then, we’ll see temperatures rebound into the low to mid 90s this afternoon.

Those numbers, combined with very high humidity, mean heat indices of 105 over southeast Missouri. A heat advisory is in place for our southern counties from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

In the metro, we can expect heat index values around 100. This afternoon, a few storms may develop, mainly along and south of the I-70 corridor. If these storms develop, we could potentially witness isolated strong to severe storms, with hail and wind being the primary concerns.

Once the cold front passes through, Sunday promises to be a great day! The temperature will rise to the low to mid 80s with low humidity.
