ST. LOUIS — Starting tomorrow, the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, known as “The Rep,” is holding its first prop sale at the old Lemp Brewery Warehouse in south city. The Rep has stored props there for 58 years but now needs to make room for new items.
Thousands of unique props will be on sale at unbeatable prices. Items range from pink flamingos and carousel horses to jukeboxes and singer sewing machines. There are also many chairs, various luggage sets including a five-piece cheetah set, and even a Tommy Gun in a violin case.
The sale is perfect for antique lovers, theater history fans, and anyone looking for a unique piece for their home. Rep officials call it a chance to “own part of theatre history and find the one thing you never knew you always wanted!”
The sale is open to the public on Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 7 p.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The warehouse is located at 3500 Lemp Avenue in south St. Louis. All sales are final, and items are sold as-is. Cash and credit cards are preferred.
