ST. LOUI S- Two men are dead and three others are injured after a shooting erupted in the Columbus Square neighborhood Sunday night. Police discovered a massive crime scene upon arrival, and FOX 2 crews saw at least 77 evidence markers.

Chaos unfolded around 10 p.m. Sunday on Carr Street, just blocks from The Dome at America’s Center. Two men, ages 26 and 20, were fatally shot. Three others were injured, including a 25-year-old man who is in critical condition, a 26-year-old man who is in stable condition, and a 24-year-old woman who was grazed by a bullet.

“When I heard it was over 80 shell casings, I’m not numb to it, but it does not surprise me… that’s when I say we have to look at where the weapons are coming from?” Vice President of Public Safety of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis James Clark said.

Neighbors claimed the violence stemmed from a domestic dispute between two women and a man, which escalated into gunfire. The neighbor claimed one of the women, who lived nearby, fired shots at the man and the other woman.

FOX 2 spoke with residents off-camera, and they expressed fear, many saying they are reluctant to comment publicly out of concern for their safety.
