ST. LOUIS – Friends, family, and anonymous donors have raised money for information to help solve a recent fatal shooting on Interstate 55.

A stray bullet struck Colin Brown in the neck around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, on Interstate 55 near Loughborough Avenue, as his family was driving home from one of his hockey games.

Colin’s father continued driving to the area of South 4th and Walnut streets to meet police and EMS. Emergency responders rushed Colin to a hospital, where he was in critical condition for multiple days before he died on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Thanks to donations, CrimeStoppers is now offering a $52,000 reward for information on a suspect in this shooting. Only tips made to the CrimeStoppers hotline or through their P3 app will be eligible for the cash reward.

Colin’s family has also announced final arrangements for their son. A memorial visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday at CBC High School. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis.
