WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – One man is behind bars after road rage case during which he allegedly fired shots at another vehicle in Webster Groves.
Prosecutors have charged Tyree Goolsby, 27, with armed criminal action, harassment, and property damage amid the investigation.
The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of North Laclede Station Road and Newport Avenue.
The victim told authorities that he noticed a driver in a black Jeep Cherokee swerve into his lane, which led him to honk his horn. The victim also slowed down to allow the driver to pass.
One person in the Jeep Cherokee, later identified as Goolsby, allegedly reacted by pointing a gun through the driver’s side window and firing two shots at the victim’s rear passenger window.
Police tracked down the suspect vehicle after speaking to the victim, and surveillance cameras later determined that Goolsby was driving the Jeep Cherokee, leading to his arrest. Police recovered a BB handgun suspected in the shooting.
Goolsby is jailed in St. Louis County on a $50,000 cash-only bond, according to Missouri court records.
