ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A St. Louis man is in custody for firing upon a tow truck driver last week in a road rage shooting.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened on Thursday, June 6. Police did not provide the time or location for the shooting.

Police claim Harold P. Taylor (age not provided) was in his car and fired several shots at a tow truck operator. Shell casings were found in the roadway at the scene.

Taylor’s vehicle was recorded on video.

Florissant police apprehended Taylor the following day and found a gun in his possession.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Taylor with first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and two counts of armed criminal action. Taylor remains jailed on a $200,000 bond. He’s due in court on June 17 for a bond reduction hearing.
