MACOMB, Ill. – The Macomb School District installed police cameras on school buses in hopes of stopping illegal passing.
The cameras have been installed on the outside of the buses under the stop sign and will record drivers as the bus stops to pick up and load students.
According to the Macomb Illinois Police Department, if a violation is recorded, the video will be sent to them for review. If a violation occurs, drivers or registered owners of the vehicle will be issued a citation.
