ST. LOUIS — The baseball team known for their flamboyant and entertaining performances of “banana ball” will be heading to St. Louis this week while on a world tour.

The Savannah Bananas have accumulated over nine million followers on TikTok for their dance performances, walking on stilts, and backflipping while catching balls.

Banana ball is described as a “fast-paced, action-packed style of baseball with rules that include no bunting, a two-hour time limit, fans catching foul balls for outs, batters stealing first base, and a one-on-one tiebreaker showdown at the end of the game if it’s tied,” according to their website.

The Savannah Bananas will take on Busch Stadium on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5 to compete against The Party Animals.

Fans could enter a ticket lottery, which closed in November 2024, or purchase tickets online. Standard tickets started at $40, with meet-and-greet tickets available for $125.

According to the Savannah Banana website, all tickets have been sold for their games in St. Louis.

In honor of their visit, the City Museum is hosting a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest gathering of people wearing banana hats.

The museum is offering presale tickets for their Wednesday, which includes general admission for the day, exclusive participation in the title attempt, and a banana hat. Tickets can be purchased online.
