FT. LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – The search for a missing Marine from Ft. Leonard Wood has yet to lead to answers. The family of Kavian Elder, 19, tells our news partners in Memphis that their loved one has been missing for more than two weeks.
Ft. Leonard Wood is located about 140 miles from St. Louis in Pulaski County. Elder’s family is from Memphis.
Fred Elder, Kavian’s father, said a nationwide search was launched and his son is considered absent without leave.
He told WHBQ-TV in Memphis he had this message for his son: “You have to face up to what you done but I will be there with you and in hand…step for step with you to deal with this situation overall.”
