DELLWOOD, Mo. – One person is in critical condition at a local hospital after being shot late Sunday night as police search for the suspect.
According to Corporal Benjamin Santoyo, a North County Police Cooperative spokesman, the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on West Florissant Avenue, just south of Hudson Road.
Santoyo said the 30-year-old victim was shot in the northbound lanes of West Florissant. The motivation for the shooting is still unclear.
License plate readers were used to identify the suspect’s stolen vehicle. The NCPC’s Drone Unit found the vehicle in Ferguson, and officers later recovered it. However, the suspect has not been located.
