ST. LOUIS – A second man was arrested and charged in connection with a woman’s death last week in St. Louis that followed an abduction in Clayton.

The St. Louis Circuit’s Attorney’s Office has charged Emmanuel Suarez, 36, with 11 felonies in the investigation, including first-degree murder and eight counts of armed criminal action.

Authorities previously arrested Anjuan Mosby, 43, in connection with the case over the weekend. He faces 18 felony charges.

Mosby and Suarez are accused in the death of 37-year-old Michelle Hampton.

Investigators say Hampton was found shot to death on the morning of Nov. 20 in the 4700 block of Greer Avenue. Investigators in St. Louis and Clayton determined that an armed suspect kidnapped Hampton earlier that morning in front of her home on Whitburn Drive in Clayton.

Police say, according to a preliminary investigation, it’s believed Mosby and Hampton were known to each other. It’s not yet fully clear if Suarez was also known to Hampton.

Suarez faces the following charges:

First-degree murder

Two counts of first-degree armed robbery

First-degree attempted robbery

Kidnapping 

Unlawful possession of a firearm

Five counts of armed criminal action

Mosby faces the following charges:

First-degree murder

First-degree assault

Two counts of first-degree robbery

First-degree attempted robbery

Violation of UUW Subsection 9

Eight counts of armed criminal action

First-degree kidnapping

Two counts of endangering the Welfare of a Child

Unlawful Possession of a Firearm
