ST. LOUIS — Seven people were involved in a vehicle wreck that turned into a shooting near South Broadway and Park Avenue in south St. Louis on June 1 around 8 p.m. Two of the victims are listed in critical condition; three were uninjured, and two had minor injuries.
Officers responded to a call regarding the shooting and discovered the victims had been involved in a crash with two parked vehicles. The officers saw that the victims’ vehicle had bullet holes. An ambulance brought Victims 1, 2, and 3 to area hospitals with gunshot wounds.
Victims 4 and 5 were not injured. Victims 6 and 7 arrived at an area hospital later; Victim 6 suffered a minor injury, while Victim 7 was not injured.
Due to the condition of Victim 1, the Homicide Division responded and assumed control of the ongoing investigation.
