VILLA RIDGE, Mo. – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office tells FOX 2 that a Burger King in Villa Ridge, Missouri, suffered significant damage from Friday evening storms, also noting that all people who were inside have been safely rescued.

FOX 2 learned of reports of a roof collapse at the Burger King. A sheriff’s office spokesperson says all people impacted by this incident have been safely rescued.

Meanwhile, FOX 2 was attempting to head to the scene, though was unable to Friday evening due to traffic backups on I-44.

Traffic is backed up several miles near Exit 80. A jackknifed semi and an overturned truck have caused significant delays, with drivers stuck for miles.

It’s unclear if there were any injuries in these incidents. Drivers are encouraged to avoid I-44 at this time.
