WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ill. – The Washington County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with finding a woman who went missing more than one week ago.

Authorities say Brittany Moeser, 36, was last seen on April 13 when she left her home to take her dog for a walk.

Family members say Moeser is possibly armed, prompting responders to exercise caution in their initial search efforts.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, in a news release Wednesday, added that Moeser’s disappearance is concerning because of her medical conditions, stating that it’s also unusual for her to not maintain contact with family members.

The sheriff’s office describes Moeser as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 130 pounds with light red hair. If you have any information on her whereabouts, contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 618-327-8274.
