OZARK MOUNTAINS, Mo. – Winning seems to be common for Stone County’s Silver Dollar City in Missouri.
After earning top theme park accolades in 2024, Silver Dollar City has its eyes set on another title: being nominated as America’s “Best Theme Park” by USA Today.
The park, which has been open since the 1960s, has caught the eye of 10Best’s expert panel, being nominated in other categories, which include:
- “Best Theme Park Restaurant”
- “Best Theme Park Entertainment”
- “Best Roller Coaster”
Receiving such noteworthy recognition brings honor to many, including Brad Thomas, president of Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts.
“There’s authenticity all around The City, and this nomination cements our park as a genuine destination for families across America. From our old-fashioned classics, like fresh-baked cinnamon bread and genuine Ozark craft demonstrations, to newfangled fun like Fire In The Hole, the largest indoor coaster in the Heartland,” Thomas said.
With spring underway, visitors have a new festival to partake in, called the Spring Exposition. This new festival is paired with the Plaza expansion, fostering new forms of entertainment for visitors.
Voting begins today, and fans of this 1880s-themed park can cast their votes for Silver Dollar City here. Individuals can vote once per day up until Monday, April 21 at 11 a.m. CDT.
“With our record-breaking rides and authentic attractions and award-winning entertainment, there’s something truly for everyone in the family here at Silver Dollar City,” Thomas continued.
