ST. LOUIS – After some light rain overnight, skies are clearing in the pre-dawn Tuesday hours.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy and mild Tuesday, with highs in the low to mid 60s. There may be a spot shower east of I-57 in Illinois in the afternoon. Tuesday night, a few clouds roll through the area and a few spot showers can’t be ruled out. That will be followed by a nice day expected Wednesday, sunny and 60s for highs.
Thursday through Sunday will be a more active and unsettled stretch of weather. Cardinals Opening Day Thursday will be partly to mostly cloudy with a chance for rain showers in the afternoon and evening. There will be lots of dry time so a lot of the festivities will be unaffected. Top temperatures Thursday will be near 70 F.
Friday will be much warmer, with highs near 80 F, with a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm.
Saturday will be the most active day with a chance of strong to severe storms. This storm system doesn’t look as intense as the March 14 event, but it will be something to watch as weather will likely impact weekend plans.
