ST. LOUIS – There’s a lot of foot traffic this time of year at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. The week of Thanksgiving is one of their busiest times of the year, with an estimated projection of 40,000 people traveling Tuesday and Wednesday.
Not only is the airport busy for the holiday rush, but so are grocery stores as they keep shelves prepped for last-minute shoppers this Thanksgiving season.
If you’ve been out shopping recently, you’ll notice the influx of people preparing for Thanksgiving this upcoming Thursday. This is the time of year when Americans rely on their favorite grocers to have all those holiday staples, and Schnucks says they’re stocked up and ready for that holiday rush.
“Certainly, things are very busy; we have lots of keeping staff ready to help support, be friendly, engage with customers, and find everything they need. The insider tip I give is, if you have to come out on the busiest days, usually between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., there’s a little bit of a lull so you can sneak in there before everyone is getting off of work, and it would be a great time to come in for items,” Vice President of Store Operations Stacy Brandt said.
