ST. LOUIS – Ameren Missouri and the St. Louis Blues teamed up again this year to help raise money for charities that help children. In the 10th year of the event, one charity was awarded a check for $12,000.
Under the program, Ameren Missouri donated $500 for every power play goal that the Blues scored during the regular season. Meanwhile, Blues fans were able to vote online for which charity they think should receive the money.
The finalists this year were Annie’s Hope, Empower North County, The Bennett Project and Unlimited Play. In the end, the Bennett Project emerged victorious, earning $12,000 for the 24 power play goals the Blues have already scored this season. That money will keep on growing for the rest of the regular season as the Blues score more power play goals.
The other three charities didn’t go home alone—they all received $1,000 so everyone could be a winner.
