CHICAGO, Ill. – A Spanish Lake, Missouri, man was arrested earlier this week in connection with a double shooting in Chicago.
According to a Chicago Police Department spokesperson, the shooting happened Monday, April 29, at a residence in the 7400 block of South Ellis Avenue, which is located in the Great Grand Crossing community.
Police claim Craig Messiah-Smith, 24, shot and seriously injured two women, ages 30 and 31, inside a home.
Messiah-Smith was still at the scene and taken into custody, police said.
Messiah-Smith was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of aggravated battery, and one count of aggravated domestic battery.
