ST. LOUIS – Amazon Prime released the new trailer for its new animated series, “Batman: Caped Crusader.” The series follows Bruce Wayne or Batman in a “relentless” fight against crime in Gotham City.
Despite Gotham City being suggested to be located in New Jersey, the new animated series uses a map of St. Louis as a reference to Gotham City. In the scene, Batman and his confidant and butler, Alfred Pennywise, are looking at St. Louis, which is reversed on screen.
The same map of St. Louis has been featured in past Batman series dating back to the 1960s. According to MeTV, the map labeled “Giant Lucite Map of Gotham City” is a close-up of downtown St. Louis.
The new animated series, which details the events of Batman’s first year fighting crime in Gotham City, will release all 10 episodes on Thursday, August 1 on Amazon Prime.
