ST. LOUIS – Authorities are asking for the public’s help with locating a St. Louis homicide suspect wanted on several at-large warrants.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says John Phillips, 45, is accused in the murder of Mack Wagner, 62, on July 29, 2024. Wagner was fatally shot inside a gas station in St. Louis’ Dutchtown neighborhood.


St. Louis-area accountant busted in $40K shopping spree while on vacation

As of Friday, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office has charged Phillips with at-large warrants for first-degree murder, armed criminal action, first-degree robbery, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Investigators say Phillips was previously arrested and charged in connection with a stealing case in 2023.
