ST. LOUIS — The shuttle company that operates transportation at St. Louis Lambert International Airport announced on Tuesday it will be laying off 130 employees come July.

According to a Missouri WARN Notice, SP Plus, a Metropolis Company, will be laying off 130 staff members effective July 1 due to a loss of contract.

In a letter to the state, the company said it is “unsure if and when the company will again staff its shuttle positions at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport.”

The letter also said the contract will not be renewed, and it is unknown if the new company awarded the contract will offer employment to the current staff members.
