ST. LOUIS — A late-night shooting in St. Louis left one man dead and two others injured, including one critically, in an incident that unfolded just north of downtown. Police say the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of Carr Street, near the America’s Center.
Authorities have confirmed the deceased victim is an adult male but have not released his identity. A second victim, also a man, was transported to the hospital in critical condition. A woman was grazed by gunfire and is in non-critical condition.
Evidence from the scene suggests a chaotic exchange of gunfire. Witnesses reported seeing evidence markers—likely for shell casings—spread across two blocks, with some markers numbered as high as 77. Investigators have not provided details on suspects, and the investigation is ongoing.
Homicide detectives are handling the case. Police are expected to release more information as the investigation progresses.
