ST. LOUIS – Sports fans have proven St. Louis to be a football hotbed yet again, as the Gateway City will host the United Football League Championship for the second straight year.

UFL owner Dany Garcia addressed the crowd at The Dome at America’s Center during halftime and credited the Battlehawks fanbase and city for its passion for football. The crowd cheered the good news.

Unfortunately, the team could not secure the victory to remain undefeated, falling to the DC Defenders 27-15.

Battlehawks fans hope to see the hometown team in the championship, set for June 14.
