ST. LOUIS – A St. Mary teen was left dead Monday night after a fatal crash on U.S. Route 61 in Perry County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the crash happened a little after 11:50 p.m. on southbound U.S. Route 61, north of Route NN, involving a Chevrolet Silverado and Chevrolet Impala.

MSHP says the fatal crash happened after the 19-year-old teen driving the Silverado lost control of his vehicle, causing him to exit the left side of the road and strike the Impala, which was parked.

Officials say the crash caused the Silverado to overturn and strike three other parked vehicles before coming to a rest on the porch of a residence. The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP.

There were no other injuries from the crash.
