STAUNTON, Ill. – The Superintendent of the Staunton CUSD #6 announced there will be an increased police presence after a threat cancelled the boy’s basketball game Wednesday night.

Superintendent Brett T. Allen stated that the threat was received by the Staunton Police Department. The campus was quickly cleared.

After investigating and securing the building, there were no credible threats.

Out of an abundance of caution, the school district will have a higher level of police presence at school Thursday, Allen noted.
