ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Fire Department is celebrating First Responder Wellness this week by honoring its crew members.
First Responders Wellness Week acknowledges the resilience and the well-being of first responders, with this year’s theme being “Fit for Duty, Fit for Life.”
The theme emphasizes the importance of assisting first responders in building strength in every wellness area.
During this time, the fire department is sharing wellness-focused events and resources to support responders, which include gyms, mental health representatives and supplement stores.
The St. Louis Fire Department will also give resources to family members of first responders.
“Wellness isn’t just about fitness—it’s about fostering a culture where our people feel seen, supported and valued,” said Deputy Chief Derrick Phillips. “Our responders give their all to this city everyday. “This week is about reminding them that taking care of themselves is okay, too.”
