ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS) and Zūm announced today a partnership at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, elevating the transportation needs for students, families and administrators in the region.

SLPS awarded the company a three-year transportation contract with Zūm in early February, ensuring a commitment to efficient services for over 18,000 students in 60+ schools.

“Ensuring that our students arrive at school safely, on time and ready to learn is a top priority for Saint Louis Public Schools,” said Millicent Borishade, SLPS interim superintendent.

Borishade noted that this partnership with Zūm embraces an evolved transportation model that assures innovation, as well as equity and safety to students.

Ritu Narayan, founder and CEO of Zūm, also shared similar sentiments with Borishade surrounding the partnership for the 2025-2026 school year.

“We look forward to working with families in the SLPS community and encourage all those interested in driving, both experienced and new, for Zūm to apply and attend our upcoming hiring events,” Narayan said.

Zūm, based in Redwood City, California, covers 220 routes for SLPS. The company plans to host upcoming school bus driver hiring events in March.
