ST. LOUIS – One person is in custody for a brazen burglary at St. Louis Police Headquarters last week.
According to Mitch McCoy, a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesman, the burglary occurred on the evening of Monday, April 21.
Investigators said a man stole several items, including a firearm.
By Friday, McCoy said detectives had identified a person of interest and went to a home in Crystal City, Missouri. Police recovered the stolen firearm and other items.
However, it wasn’t until Sunday afternoon that police announced an arrest had been made.
The suspect was taken into custody in Fredericktown, Missouri. Police are working with the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office on possible charges.
