ST. LOUIS – A teen was struck by a stray bullet Sunday after two groups of people began shooting at one another in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting took place around 2 p.m. in the 1600 block of North 17th Street in the city’s St. Louis Place neighborhood.
Police said that the 16-year-old victim told officers that he was walking and was struck in the leg after two groups of people began firing gunshots at each other.
After being shot, police said the teen ran to the 1700 block of Cass Avenue for help and was later transported to the hospital. He was said to be in stable condition.
