ST. LOUIS – A teenager was left injured Sunday afternoon following a shooting in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting took place shortly after 5 p.m. on the 5100 block of Terry Avenue in north St. Louis’ Kingsway West neighborhood, involving a 15-year-old teenager.
When officers arrived on the scene, authorities found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to his foot. The teenager claimed to be approaching a house while sitting in a car with a man, according to the officers. When the teen got out of the vehicle, officers said the teen heard gunshots and then felt pain in his foot.
According to police, the teen received treatment at a nearby hospital and is in a stable condition. An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
