MISSOURI — Food writers rounded up a list of the most “charming” restaurants in every state, and one eatery in Missouri stood out from the rest.

According to Love Food, after observing reviews, awards, and experiencing the restaurant firsthand, the Sugar Leaf Bakery Cafe in Branson, Missouri, was crowned most charming.

The cafe, run by a husband-and-wife team, was noted for its “warm and welcoming” atmosphere with sweet and savory dishes. Their menu features panini, salads, and bakery goods from cobblers, pies, cupcakes, and cookies.

In Illinois, Love Food named Mesón Sabika in Naperville as the most charming for its location inside a mansion dating back to 1847 and surrounded by four acres of gardens. The restaurant incorporates a taste of Spain into its dishes, including tapas and paellas.
