ALTON, Ill. – Authorities say three people were hurt in an overnight shooting at a home in Alton, Illinois.

The Alton Police Department reports that three people were shot while inside a home in the 1000 block of Tremont Street. The shooting happened just before midnight Saturday.

All three victims were sent to hospitals for treatment, though their injuries are considered non-life-threatening as of Saturday afternoon.

Police believe that multiple suspects left the scene of the shooting prior to officers responding to the home. No arrests have been made at this time.

Based on preliminary findings, police believe this was a targeted shooting and not a random act of violence.
