ST. LOUIS – Yelp offers praise to three local businesses in the St. Louis region, naming them among the Top 100 nationwide.
The trio highlighted in Yelp’s 2024 “Top 100 Local Businesses” list include Golden Gems, Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop and Grant’s Farm.
Yelp says these local businesses are ones that “best demonstrate the vibrancy of U.S. communities” and “do more than just provide great goods or memorable customer service.”
In making the list, Yelp recognized local businesses under 10 different classifications.

In order to create its “Top 100” ranking, Yelp said its data-science team used data generated from community submissions, considering the quality and quantity of submissions.

Golden Gems
Golden Gems made the list under the fashion category.
The gift shop is a staple in St. Louis’ Midtown neighborhood and specializes in women’s gifts.
Golden Gems is located at 3108 Locust Street and is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop
Maypop Coffee & Garden Shop made the list under the home decor category.
A venue for coffee and plant enthusiasts, Maypop also made Yelp’s list of “Top Coffee Shops in U.S. and Canada” in 2022.
Maypop specializes in fresh brews and potted plants.
Maypop is located in Webster Groves at 803 Marshall Avenue. It is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, aside from select holidays.
Grant’s Farm
Grant’s Farm made the list under the Kids Activities category.
The experience consists of seeing the famous Anheuser Clydesdales, taking a tram ride and feeding baby goats, among other activities. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere that also offers several options for food and drinks.
Grant’s Farm is located in south St. Louis County at 7385 Grant Road. Its “Summer Nights” lineup and summertime general admission visits begin on May 24.
