COLLINSVILLE, Ill. — “Snowbegone Kenobi,” “The Big LePlowski,” and many more uniquely named snow plows will be seen on the streets of Collinsville clearing snow for drivers on Friday.
According to the city of Collinsville, the city’s snowplows named “Clearopathra,” “Sleetwood Mac,” “Alice Scooper,” and “Schoop Doggy Dog” can all be tracked on the website’s public snowplow tracker.
“Wondering if Snowbegone Kenobi is going to be using the force to plow the snow on your street?” the city’s website said. “Questioning whether or not Clearopathra is getting close to clearing a path in your neighborhood?”
The city additionally advises residents to keep parked cars off of all roadways, courts, and cul-de-sacs and give plows space to work by not following too closely or approaching plows.
The city also advises residents when shoveling snow to remove it away from the driveway and pile snow on the right of the driveway so it will not be redeposited on the driveway after a plow comes through.
