WILDWOOD, Mo. – The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges against suspects in connection with a kidnapping and assault over multiple days in Wildwood.
On Wednesday, charges were filed against Melissa Faix of Chesterfield and Robert Crutcher of Ballwin.
The two are accused of stealing a motor vehicle and stealing a firearm in connection with a kidnapping by going to a man’s home in the 19300 block of Babler Forest Road on Sept. 13. They observed Cejay Young pistol whipping the victim on multiple days.
Defendant Crutcher and Faix are accused of taking two ATV vehicles, along with a 9 mm Canik pistol.
Prosecutors said defendant Young beat the victim every day, bloodying his nose, making the victim clean up the blood, and forcing the victim to take unknown pills at night to make him sleep.
On Sept. 19, police arrived at the victim’s home to investigate a different crime. The victim told officers he was being held hostage by someone in the house.
According to the probable cause statement, Young fled the scene, leading police on a three-and-a-half-hour chase. The ATVs were recovered at Crutcher’s property, along with the 9 mm inside defendant Faix’s vehicle, which was also parked on Crutcher’s property.
According to the prosecuting attorney’s office, Cejay Young was charged with kidnapping, assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, robbery and burglary.
Prosecutors said defendants Melissa Faix and Robert Crutcher are convicted felons.
