MILLERSVILLE, Mo. – A head-on car collision in Cape Girardeau County Tuesday afternoon has left two dead and one injured.
According to the MSHP crash report, 84-year-old Charles Davis was driving southbound on Missouri Route 72 around 2:30 p.m. when he crossed the center line and struck one vehicle head-on in the northbound lane, and then hit a second car in the southbound lane.
Davis and the passenger of his vehicle, 87-year-old Shelba Davis, were both pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the first vehicle hit was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
