Reportedly, Bollinger County had received the report of Roberts missing on Oct. 14, 2021. Nanney and Morgan were taken into custody the following day after an interview with authorities revealed they had been the last people known to contact Roberts.

Investigators later found human remains on Nanney and Morgan’s property.

Nanney received a guilty verdict from a Bollinger County jury on October 25 and a four-day trial. A judge sentenced him to two life sentences without the possibility of parole plus an additional 23 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Nanney was charged with a life sentence for first-degree murder, another life sentence for unlawful use of a weapon, 15 years for armed criminal action, four years for tampering with physical evidence, and four years for abandonment of a corpse.

Morgan entered a guilty plea on Thursday, and a judge sentenced her to 30 years in prison for second-degree murder, four years for tampering with physical evidence, and four years for abandonment of a corpse.

“Please continue to pray for the family and friends of Brianna. My hope is that these above convictions and sentences will help bring closure to Brianna’s family and friends,” Graham said on Facebook.
