BRANSON, Mo. – Check your old lottery tickets! There’s an unclaimed million-dollar prize sold in Branson, and it’s set to expire in one week if unclaimed.
A Mega Millions player purchased the unclaimed winning ticket at a gas station known as The Pantry at 164 Fall Creek Drive in Branson for the Oct. 25, 2024 drawing.
The winning numbers in the drawing were 23, 256, 25, 41 and 43, according to Missouri Lottery.
If unclaimed, this prize is set to expire on April 23, 2025. That’s one week from Wednesday.
This particular prize must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date, or else it will expire, and those funds will “benefit Missouri public education,” according to a Missouri Lottery news release.
According to Missouri Lottery, only around 1 in every 12.6 million tickets yields a $1 million prize with five matching white ball numbers, while only around 1 in every 303 million tickets yields a jackpot with five matching white ball numbers and matching mega ball.
The Missouri Lottery encourages anyone who purchased a Mega Millions ticket at this location around the time of the drawing to check carefully to see if they might have a winning ticket. Lottery players can scan tickets at Check-A-Ticket retail machines or on the Missouri Lottery’s mobile app to determine if they have won.
