The crash report says the Chevrolet was travelling westbound on Route AT and the 67-year-old driver began travelling too fast for the roadway’s curve, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the road and strike a tree.

Both occupants were transported to a nearby hospital but the 67-year-old man was later pronounced dead. The passenger in the vehicle, a 40-year-old woman, was left seriously injured in the accident, the crash report says.

Both the man and woman weren’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to MSHP.
