If you’re looking to make some extra cash this holiday season then UPS may be the place for you. The shipping giant is holding a hiring blitz today and tomorrow in the St. Louis area. It’s taking place at the UPS facility at 520 Jefferson in Midtown.

UPS officials telling us they are looking to hire nearly 1,400 seasonal employees in the St. Louis area during it’s annual “UPS Brown Friday” hiring blitz this weekend. Nationwide the company plans to bring on at least 60,000 seasonal employees through many in-person and virtual events today and tomorrow.

UPS officials tell us that applying is faster and easier than ever with 75% of roles not requiring an interview and most applicants receiving a job in less than 10 minutes. UPS says its industry leading pay and a variety of jobs and shift times make a seasonal opportunity with them a great way to make some extra cash for the holidays.

Seasonal positions are also a great way to get your foot in the door for a permanent role with UPS.

Here are the details for the local events here the facility on Jefferson. Today’s event runs from 10am until 2pm. Tomorrow you can come here from 11am until 2pm. Driver helpers make $18.40 an hour. Seasonal support drivers earn $23 an hour plus mileage. Package handlers start at $21 an hour.

For the entire holiday season, UPS hopes to hire more than 125,000 workers nationwide.
